The Scary Navel, Halloween Drinkin’ Ideas.
Believe it or not long before I got into appreciating food, I appreciated cocktails. For the longest time I’ve been getting hounded by friends and family to start a cocktail/drink section on this blog, so because Halloween is around the corner I thought it would be a good time to bring out an “Inaugural cocktail” of sorts, so this is it. The first of drink, the Scary Navel. It’s a play on the Hairy Navel, mixing it up to make it more Halloween themed.
The ingredients are all in equal parts, just scale up for whatever it is you’re making whether it be shots or martini style drinks.
- 2 oz Blavod Black Vodka
- 2 oz Peach Schnapps
- 2 oz Fresh Squeezed Orange Juice
- Syrup – Use any syrup that has a black look to it for this, I used hershey syrup because it sticks to the glass well.
So first things first, you will need to prepare your martini glasses if thats what you are using, or whatever glass you want to use.
I made a quick GIF to show you how simple it is to dress a glass, I will do a more detailed post another time but for now here is a basic idea of how to do it.
Now you will want to mix your schnapps and orange juice ahead of time, so give them a mix and add to the glass. Once you have the juice in the glass use a spoon to SLOWLY pour vodka and float it on the top of your drink. I will leave this part to you in regards to how strong you REALLY want to make it.
….aaaaand you’re done.
Happy Halloween everyone!
