Hummus, I needed chickpeas, they only had garbanzo beans…wait…they are the same thing? thanks obama.
Talk about feeling like an ass at the grocery store when you’re looking and all you see is garbanzo beans not realizing its the same thing as chickpeas.
Anyway, Hummus is good, I wanted to make Hummus, so I grabbed the stuff needed for Hummus and made some good Hummus. There really is nothing complex or difficult with Hummus, its literally “throw that shit into a blender and puree it until it doesn’t feel feelings anymore”
- 1 large clove garlic chopped
- 15-oz. can chickpeas (Garbanzo Beans!), rinsed and drained
- 3 Tbs. lemon juice
- 3 Tbs. tahini
- 2 Tbs. extra-virgin olive oil
- 1 tsp. ground cumin
Took a pic of what Tahini looks like in case you werent sure of what you were looking for in the grocery store. Its basically peanut butter but with sesame seeds so it should be next to the nutted peanuts.
Throw it all together and just keep it blending until it comes out like this.
Blam, some epic home-made Hummus. Perfect for using in other recipes, and it will be used in other recipes.
